How to rent apartment
When renting an apartment, you will also receive an abundance of extras that individuals who live in a home would have to pay extra fees for. Apartment communities usually include extras such as swimming pools, tennis courts, exercise rooms and clubhouse facilities for your entertaining needs. All of which would add up if you were charged for them outright.
Disadvantages of Apartment Rentals
However with an apartment rental you will have a living situation in which your neighbors will be very close by. This may cause additional noise on top of your own. Noises from conversations, televisions, radios, and general movement around an apartment especially above you can be expected present in your apartment complex.
Another downfall with apartments is that you are not able to do everything you would want to do in a home you’d buy in regards to make it truly your own. Such as painting the walls in your apartment. This simple compliment to your apartment is something you’ll have to ask your rental community if you’re even allowed to do. Most likely if you are allowed to paint the walls in your rented apartment, they must be painted back to a neutral color before you leave. If not your deposit on your rental which you generally receive if your apartment is in good standing could be taken away from you if the re-painting is not up to their likings.
With all of that said you should have a better feel of what to expect in apartment rentals in Canada. Keep in mind there will always advantages and disadvantages with any living situation you decide to make in life, but if you’re not sure about an area and want to get a feel for it an apartment rental is definitely the way to go.
